Position Summary:
The Clinical Area Saoles Manager is responsible for all commercial activities, strategies, tactics and associated business dynamics/requirements and to create a localized business entity within the designated geography(s). Ablation Frontiers will be entering the marketplace and the ideal candidate will posses and provide a broad range of exemplary business skills, likely overqualified for an initial “scale up” time. The foremost objective shall be to establish Ablation Frontiers as a leading professional organization, offering a very real and meaningful advance in catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation. Candidate skills will initially focus on super sales capabilities, with a strong ability towards a high level of clinical and technical aptitude. In the simplest terms, the Country Manager will be the first employee in the market and will be required to roll his/her sleeves up, to pioneer the way in building the business from the ground up, adding employees under their leadership, relative to successes and the respective business requirements - a Jack/Jill of all trades and a master of all. As a forward looking statement, the size of the organization, under the stewardship of the Country Manager, will be directly related to the successes achieved, (self funding expansion, responsive to the needs of the business).

Duties may include activities outside of Europe, dependant on needs of Ablation Frontiers.
Duties and Responsibilities: (not totally exclusive to the following)
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales goals.
- Lead through example, build a business foundation on best practices and a positive attitude.
- Select and target key electrophysiology customers for initiating commercial sales – offer expert sales and customer relationship skills to ensure best adoption responses, techniques, practices and best clinical outcomes – instill a highly valued and recognized expert leadership position with each customer.
- Co-ordinate high level clinical training, (through the Clinical Mentor Course program) to achieve best outcomes.
- Provide personal and through associated team members, expert clinical and technical advice/support specifically relating to AFI Inc devices.
- Develop localized training programs and utilize available materials, for effectively inducting new customers on AF Inc products and procedures, which result in the ability to conduct procedures independently, utilizing best practices and achieving best clinical outcomes.
- Apply outstanding leadership skills to induct and train new and existing Ablation Frontiers personnel on sales, clinical, technical, products and procedure skills, which result in best practices and best clinical outcomes. Goal: “admired by our customers and envied by our competition”.
- Gather market intelligence, customer needs and requirements, whether requested or just observations and communicate to the respective AF Inc personnel in a timely and meaningful manner.
- Attend company organized and/or approved meetings, where appropriate.
- Be proactive and professional at all times that support the financial and future success of AF Inc.
- Be a company ambassador both in the job and outside of the job.
- Conduct your work practices in line with company practices and standards, compliant with the ADVAMED Business Code of Ethics and/or International best practices.
- Perform all duties within the pre-defined budget.
- Report all field observations and complaints, associated with AF Inc products and services, as required by AF Inc procedures.

REPORTING:
This position will report directly to the Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Ablation Frontiers Inc. Specific duties will be determined and coordinated in conjunction with the European needs and strategic plans and will be subject to change given ongoing business needs.
Initial, ongoing training and skills accreditation will be provided to standards expected within AF Inc, dependant on current product offering, including new product iterations/ introductions. Training will be provided locally or internationally, dependant on training needs.
- Provide required reporting forms, including a monthly planner of forthcoming activities and events, two weeks in advance.
- Provide required business plans, including annual profit plans, long range plans (3-5 years), headcount resource plans etc in a professional, meaningful and timely manner.
- Maintain regular and effective communication with supervisor, head office and colleagues via pager, mobile telephone, fax and/or email.
- Be available, whenever possible, to respond to customer and company personnel calls via pager, mobile telephone, fax and/or email.
- Ensure all required reports are completed in full and provided in a timely manner.
- Ensure accurate customer account records, training materials and equipment etc, are maintained at all times (AF Inc property).
- Provide business related expense claims, complete with receipts, every month, by the close of each month, for sign off and payment approval. (no expense claim should be over one month in duration)
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum - Life Sciences or Nursing Degree.
- Minimum - 5 years industry experience in a medical device company within progressive roles through sales, sales leadership, marketing etc.
- Minimum - 2 years in a leadership role – Regional sales manager, Marketing manager (post successful sales) etc working directly or with physicians and healthcare professionals.
- Minimum - excellent familiarity with GCP’s, “Good Clinical Practices”
- Minimum - excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Minimum – ability to present/teach detailed technical and clinical information, to all levels of company personnel and customers alike.
- Highly desired – comprehensive medical device field experience, supporting procedures within the EP Catheter lab, within the Cardiac ablation space or Cardiac Rhythm Management.
- Highly desired – comprehensive experience supporting atrial fibrillation ablation procedures, observing/interpreting multi-channel intracardiac EKG’s.
- Excellent ability to multi task, evaluate complex situations with a sound business judgment.
- A self starter, who knows what makes them tick, an self driven achiever – positive restless attitude, where an average performance is not satisfying enough.
