Position Summary:
The Marketing Intern is a development position; the purpose is to provide a recent alumni or current student pursuing an MBA [or similar advanced degree] with experience of working within an active marketing department. In this position the Marketing Intern is responsibility for developing and implementing Global Marketing strategies and tactics related to the Ablation Frontiers Cardiac Ablation System. Reporting to the Global Director of Marketing, the intern will have responsibilities for planning and executing activities related to promotional campaigns, new product launch, training programs and physician advisory boards and scientific meeting/conventions.
In addition, the intern will be required to perform competitive and market analyses and work closely with other functional groups including R & D, Operation, Sales, Clinical, and Regulatory. The Intern will also collaborate with third party vendors and consultants to achieve success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Market and Competitive Analyses, development and execution of key projects associated with driving growth marketing strategies.
- Responsible for coordinating New Product launch, including the development of product launch packages, positioning, pricing, competitive analysis and key features/benefits.
- Support sales and training groups with technical, market or clinical information on company a competitive products, trends, or disease state information.
- Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve identified sales and marketing targets.
- Work on strategic initiatives that will aid senior management decision making.
- Partner with Global Marketing Director on major branding, promotional and educational initiatives.
- Performs other duties as required by market needs.
Job duration: Flexible between 3 to 12 months
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education and/or Experience:
MBA or similar advanced degree in progress or recently completed. Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry a strong plus. Prefer undergraduate degree in life sciences or engineering; for example bioengineering, biology, biochemistry, etc.
Required Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office required, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience with graphics programs and web-content, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Quark Express, Dreamweaver, or FrontPage is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills (written & verbally)
- Attention to detail a must
- Organized
- Ability to multi-task
- Must possess excellent writing, editing, grammar
