Position Summary:
Responsible for performing basic assembly functions of disposable medical devices following G.M.P. and F.D.A. standards. Also perform basic machining functions with the ability to operate buffers, automated welding equipment and/or other related machinery used in the manufacturing process of the Device Manufacturing Team.
1.) Performs a variety of operations in the assembly of disposable medical devices, including basic machine operation, such as automated welding, straightening, soldering, knurling, adhesive bond operations and inspection.
2.) Ability to operate and adjust delicate manufacturing and/or inspection equipment / instruments.
3.) Inspects parts using basic gauges, such as functional gauges, laser micrometer, comparator, vernier calipers and drop indicators.
4.) Maintains manufacturing equipment per machine maintenance schedules.
5.) Responsible for housekeeping within functional area or as assigned by Supervisor.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 0-2 years of medical device assembly or equivalent experience, knowledgeable in basic G.M.P practices. High volume manufacturing environment experience is a plus. Automated welding experience is a plus. Ability to set up and microscopes, hot boxes, and other related assembly equipment. Able to read and write English and have basic math skills. Must be mechanically adept. Ability to follow standard operating procedures. Basic technical drawing reading skills to determine critical dimensions and tolerances. High School graduate, or equivalent.
